My name is Lily Tang. I'm a seventh grader living in Fremont, California. As one of my sixth grade classroom projects, we had to write a book for second graders. Over a period of about 4-5 months, I worked hard on: reading other picture books and taking notes, thinking up and typing my story, and drawing my illustrations.
Finally, the day before my
project was due, I finished my picture book. Below, is the cover of my
book, Sammy's Adventures.
My stuffed animal, Ducky,
inspired me to write a book like this. My stuffed animal ducky has the same
personality of the ducky in the story that I wrote. I got Ducky on my 7th or
8th birthday, and she was my most favorite stuffed animal. Whenever my family
would go on a trip to some place, I would always bring Ducky with me.
Therefore, Ducky, like Sammy, has seen many many places!
In my book, Sammy visited: Seattle, Crater Lake in Oregon, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Hawaii, and went skiing.
In real life, my Ducky has visited: Crater Lake in Oregon, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Hawaii, and also went skiing numerous times!
